Helping Tayside Become More Active, More Often
The Get Out Get Active programme was rolled out in Tayside in early 2020 and due to COVID, was primarily restricted to an online programme of activities.
In addition, we now have a vast (and continuously expanding) programme of face-to-face activities open to everyone across Angus, Dundee and Perth & Kinross.

GOGA Tayside supports disabled and non-disabled people to enjoy being active together throughout Tayside.

Our Reasons Why
- Participants
- “The teaching is high quality and is inclusive. It is particularly important for me that the class I attend is ladies only as that can sometimes be a barrier to accessing classes. I suffer from a range of health conditions and these classes have helped me manage those conditions.”
Sofia Carlyle, participant
- Volunteers
- “During Covid lockdown I found GOGA online and it kept me sane, I still join in on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The forty-five minutes whizzes past setting me up for the day, ready to take on the world around me. The girls at GOGA have helped me build up a class in Brechin which is well attended every Tuesday.”
Jean Clark, participant & volunteer
- Deliverers
- “GOGA has changed my life as a coach, because their attention to detail and absolute enthusiasm for the classes has really given me the drive to keep building on what I do, and offer different skills where possible. They truly care about their service providers and all those taking part. Nothing is too much trouble for them. It's an absolute pleasure providing the classes and I always feel supported in what I do.”
